Grupthink

Grupthink is a social polling site that was recently the topic of a Wall Street Journal Article. It is currently being developed by Modwest. (Modwest was even mentioned in a recent New York Times Article: Data Center Overload)

I felt that it would good to be able to place polls on MySpace Profiles. But this can be difficult as MySpace will only allow members to post images on their profile. To overcome this limitation I developed the Grupthink Badge.

When The Grupthink badge receives a request for an image, it is redirected to a PHP script using ModRewrite. The script dynamically generates images using ImageMagick; the script also takes advantage of a configurable aging and a Static Content Cache system.

B4BC

Boarding For Breast Cancer is a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise awareness about breast cancer.

For this site I cleaned up the Content Management System, which improves the portability and speeds up integration. In addition, I utilized ImageMagick to dynamically generate the images for the front page.

Wild Bunch Floral

Wild Bunch Floral is a Missoula based florist.

For this project I did everything from the initial meeting with the clients, to the final design and implementation. This was my first experience with a custom CMS. I even kept the additional design proposal around: rejected Wild Bunch Design.

Wingate Inn Missoula

This site was a rework of Wingate Inn Helena's site whose flash source (.fla) was no longer available. To remedy the situation, we decompiled the swf file, and then ported it to represent Missoula's Wingate Inn.

Retardants Contract

This site is an information pack of the chemical fire retardants used on wildland fires.

This projects main purpose was to produce a CD that could be used at wildland fire sites. I was lucky enough to be given the privilege of designing the CD and case.

Recreation Sourcebook

The Recreation Sourcebook is a listing of useful articles and sites related to Recreation management. I initially developed this site using Java Servlets. Eventually I ported to PHP.

Insured Titles

For this site I developed a basic Flash Movie that illustrates the Insured Titles Process.

MFA Inc.

MFA Inc. is a company that produces frames and moldings.

For this site I developed a preview system that utilizes JavaScript to help present the many options for the frames and moldings.

The Band Cold Smoke

A site that I designed for a friend's band.

NCEEA

The Northwest Career Educators and Employers Association is a partnership of business, industry, government, colleges, and universities.

For this site I helped to complete the development of the conference booking system and clean up the logo.
